"The School Exam" by Albert Anker (1862)
TESTING BEGINS: We have our first set of semester exams this week and next. Classes have varied exam schedules in order to ensure there aren't too many at one time. Check your schedule carefully--tests have deadlines that mustn't be missed! Be sure to prioritize exams over other work; they are worth much more of your grade than the homework. Good luck and God speed on all your tests!
Let us work to be prayerful regarding tests this week: ask God for help to prepare thoroughly, ask for assistance as you take the exam, and give thanks and glory to God for your successes (and failures by which you learn). May Christ be our companion in all!
PRAYER of ST. TERESA OF JESUS: Her feast is Tuesday, Oct. 15
Let nothing affright thee,
Nothing dismay thee.
All is passing,
God ever remains.
Patience obtains all.
Whoever possesses God
Cannot lack anything
God alone suffices.
