Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and a Blessed Epiphany to All!  Welcome back!
Here are a few notes for Unit 15:

COMPOSITION & GRAMMAR: Several Comps courses have items due this week and/or grammar exams due.  Be sure to check your course suite first thing Monday.

LEAGUE CHALLENGES: Be sure to stop over to the League page and mark the Advent and Adest challenges complete (if you completed them, of course).  The deadline for marking those is January 17.
While your there, upload your head shot for the Yearbook (if you haven't) and review the Extracurricular and Academic Achievements -- its not too late to get to work on earning those.

WEBSITE UPDATE: Over the break, the school site underwent a software upgrade.  This always brings in a few unforeseen changes in how things work.  If you see something funny or not working quite right, please send a message to Mr. Rolling.

POEM of the WEEK: "Troll" by J.R.R. Tolkien.  Performed by Adele Radakichenane.
Student and Instructor contributions for "Poem of the Week" are welcome (sung poetry is welcome, too).  Send a message to Mr. Rolling with "Poem of the Week," and the title and author of the poem you would like to recite.

THOUGHTS on EPIPHANY: Epiphany, the "showing forth" or "revelation" of God, provides an analogy for the whole idea of education.  Everything we study, from math to history to metaphysics, is a way by which God gives us revelations of Himself--the creator, well-spring, and guide of history.  The meaning of each aspect of reality goes beyond the mere "facts" we learn about it; each thing shows forth a numinous shimmering of the grand orchestral Logos and is intended for each of us, personally, as a gift to be treasured.
