Notes for the Week:

PUSH ON: "Now we come to the solemn weeks of Passiontide. Swiftly, swiftly go the days, and in this final stretch of Lent the devil is very busy. He gets busier and busier. The Gospel of the first Sunday said that the devil left our dear Lord “until an opportune time” (Lk 4:13). The devil is full of diabolical zeal to push on quickly to what he wants to have. What does he want? It is that we should be despondent, that we should feel, “Oh, what is the use?” after all the misspent graces of this Lent, all the things that seem to be going wrong. Knowing that, God inspired the Apostle to exhort us in today’s Second Reading to strain forward. I like the old translation which said “push on” (see Phil 3:13). Not “walk on” or “run on”, but push, which means to put the things that are in your way out of the way. Let us in our meditation and our prayer this coming week see what we need to push out of the way."—Mother Mary Francis, A Time of Renewal courtesy of catholicculture.org

COMP 5: Be sure to get your paper tasks requiring consultation with your instructor caught up this week.

REMEDIAL DAY: Monday of next week will be a remedial day.  Please take time BEFORE you let yourself shift into break mode to do the following:

>Complete all overdue quizzes.
>Finish all regular work.
>Submit Late Work forms for any assignments that qualify.
>Complete any COMP work that is due soon after break.
>Organize your notes with any eye to final exams.  Recall that we will have exams in all classes at that time.
>Do the Great Books summaries that will be due in UNIT 30 now, while the books are fresh in your mind (not all grades have these, but most do).

LEAGUE: The Act IV, Challenge 9 tasks have been altered so that you may work on them all together rather than only one at a time.  Take advantage of this to complete them all in the remaining time.  Also, we had some issues with the Chronicles not showing for some--I believe this has been fixed.  There are three sections to be unlocked in this act: the first, for doing 8A-C; another for 9A-C; and a third for 9D-E.

CLT REGISTRATION: Sign up is available for the CLT 7, 8, 10 and the full CLT; see the dates and links on the right of the Dash.
Students check to see if you are enrolled by looking for the CLT course suite on your list.
The CLT 10 is coming up on April 15-16.  Note that this is over the break.  Announcements about a group test time in that window will be posted in the CLT 10 course suite soon.

POEM of the WEEK: "A Psalm of Life" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.  Recited by Cordelia Poole.

Student and Instructor contributions for "Poem of the Week" are welcome (sung poetry is welcome, too).  Send a message to Mr. Rolling with "Poem of the Week," and the title and author of the poem you would like to recite.
